Homey Sapien was first started in 1987 with producers Lydian Tone and Von Shock. This is when their first album was created, "Planeta Samba" which was released independently, way ahead of its time.
After this, Von Shock spend his time working as an actor until 1994. It was then that he created the acoustic group, "Sapien" with members Tony and Django Porter, and went on to record dark flamenco acoustic tracks.
It was through these tracks that Von Shock met the english remix group, "Rockers Hi-Fi" that agreed to take on the job of remixing three of these songs on their label, "Different Drummer". Later, these tracks were released by the labels ; WEA Germany, Quango records, Island records and Compost Records, from Germany.
The same tracks that were remixed by the Rockers Hi-Fi, were later re-remixed by "Kruder and Dorfmeister" from Austria, on the K-7 Record label.
In 1996 Von Shock partnered with song writer Jeeve Doucornet and Christine Perone to create dance tracks, but were still under the name Sapien, but this time to be released under "Pterodactyl Records" Von Shock's own label.
They continued to write many songs together which were released on labels; Destiny Music, Phatt Phunk Records and Mixology Recordings.
Von Shock and Jeeve also remixed songs for the popular artists; Marylin Manson, Village People, Engelbert Humpadink, Dave Spillany and many more. They then went on to create a more down tempo project called "Orions Nebula" and also worked with british label, "Neo Records"
Von Shock exploded onto the DJ scene, quickly becoming one of the worlds most talked about electronic DJs, travelling all around the world, playing the biggest venues, festivals and clubs like Loveparade and Winter Music Conference, regularly appearing alongside huge names such as Carl Cox, Paul Okenfold and Timo Maas.
